Bibianna was trained at Sir John Cass in London from 1989 and graduated her Master of Art in Applied and Visual Culture in Jewellery at 1996. For over 25 years, Bibi has had strong technical, commercial and management experience in jewellery design, production, training and marketing

Career History

Bibi returned to Hong Kong in 2000 and established her jewellery design school Asimi Ltd in 2003. With her strong desire to teach, she arranged an exciting, effective and highly interactive array of courses in fine jewellery design and production. This gave her both the opportunity to introduce newcomers to the fascinating world of jewellery, as well as to share her interest in the field.

Presently, she and her team parters are setting up a wide range of consulting, training and services, advice to clients at all levels and scales of business. Among these services, they guide clients how to innvote ways to combine tranditional and modern technologies, to product  development and branding internationally.


Silversmithing, Jewellery and Allied Crafts

London Guildhall University (Sir John Cass) Department (now renamed to London Metropolitan University)  She graduated with a Postgraduate Certificate in Silversmithing, Jewellery and Allied Crafts in 1995 with Distinction and a Master of Art in Applied and Visual Culture in 1996.

Professional Qualifications

During her years at university, Bibi also took a number of external examinations and received certificates in advanced crafts, including Fine Jewellery Design, Precious Gem Setting and Hand-Engraving from the City and Guilds of London Institute, Britain’s largest technical testing and qualifying body. She is a qualified professional designer, jeweller, setter and engraver.

In 1996, Bibi was one of 25 students in UK to be invited to Introduction to Business for Jewellers and Silversmiths, an exclusive jewellery course. The course was organised by the Goldsmiths Company, lectured by representatives of:

  • Cartier

  • World Gold Council

  • City University Business School

  • Kings College Law Department

Michael Affatato

Production Specialist

Michael strives to bring the most advanced production equipment and ideas to the jewellery industry on an international scope. Being the first person to introduce CAD/CAM into jewellery production, he has been one of the most prolific R&D specialists in the jewellery industry.




Michael has worked in collaborations with many distinguished brands, doing R&D work and providing equipment and production processes with companies such as Pandora, David Yurman, Tiffany, Swarovski, Disney, Warner Bros., Marvel Comics and DC Comics.

Besides working professionally as a gemologist and product developer, he has consulted and actively donated equipment to enrich the learning environments of several esteemed design institutions:

  • Supplied and developed equipment for Fashion Institute of Technology (New York, USA) and George Brown College (Ontario, Canada)
  • Consulted for GIA in their CAD/CAM education programmes
  • Guest lectured at Rhode Island School of Design (RISD).

Michael received industry knowledge at University of Colorado Boulder, graduating in 1980 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mining and Geology degree from one of the world’s 10 best institutions for geological sciences. He has over 30 years of expertise in mining, precious gemstone dealership and product development.

Professional Qualifications

1975 - GIA Graduate Gemologist (GG) credential. This is one of the industry’s highest qualifications for diamond and colored gemstone grading.


1995, 2010 - MJSA Thinking Ahead Award for application of CAD/CAM technology to the jewellery industry.

Katerina Spinos of Asimi Art Jewellery Consulting

Katerina Spinos, Marketing Director

Katerina directs the Asimi Art online presence through social media and writing content about the jewellery trade. Deeply influenced by her experience in luxury goods and metalworking environments, her role extends to CAD/CAM technology, including 3D laser scanning and rapid prototyping. She is the winner of L’Ecole Van Cleef & Arpels Legacy Program 2016 in Paris.


Harris Spinos of Asimi Art Jewellery Consulting

Harris spinos, product developer

Harris is the R&D Hardware and Software Specialist of the company, creating a range of products through his knowledgable skills, and also handles customer support and training for the in-house machinery and software systems, including CNC machines and prototyping products. Harris is professionally qualified by 3D Systems Inc., a major 3D printer manufacturer, to employ their industrial 3D printers for a variety of applications.
